At BOPA LLC, we believe that the most important thing besides striving to build solid client/vendor relationships... Is hiring the right people. At BOPA LLC, we are very particular when it comes to hiring staff agents. Far too many companies are only concerned with one thing, GETTING PAID! Sadly, most security companies do not care what their representatives look like on their work sites; or how they even perform.
While getting paid is a common factor in any business... BOPA believes our client(s) should truly get qualified agent(s) to perform the duties that they are paying for.
BOPA actually cares about the way our staff agents are dressed and groomed, how they carry themselves on our work sites; as well as in the public eye. What sets us apart from our competition is that we actually DELIVER on our claims! There are many private agencies that offer armed/un-armed and sworn services. But the problem is that their clients hardly ever get a return on their protection investments. Because the armed or un-armed security do not perform well. And if they contract for private police services, the police officers (as per their agency policies) aren't allowed to exercise their police authority. THEY ARE SIMPLY A DETERRENT. They are instructed to call the local police. And they usually do not operate in the private sector anyway. They are more interested in government clientele. In fact, most special police agencies do not operate in the Charlotte area.

Our policy mandates our police officers to enforce laws by affecting arrests/issuing uniform citations/affecting
bans/conducting traffic stops/applying for warrants/testifying in court etc. All BOPA staff members are licensed/trained and certified by the state of North Carolina. Through the North Carolina Dept. of Public Safety Private Protective Services Board ( NCPPSB) for our non-sworn members. And the North Carolina Dept. of Justice (NCDOJ) for our sworn staff members.

Level I - Security Enforcement Agents... (SEA)
Make up our UN-ARMED division. Although
they do not carry firearms. They are highly
trained in the proper use of: OC Pepper Spray,
Handcuffs, Expandable Batons, Tasers, 2 way radios etc...
Level II - Public Safety Agents... (PSA)
Make up our ARMED division. In addition to
firearms, they are also highly trained in proper
uses of the same items as our level I staff members...
Level III - Special Police Officers... (SPO)
Make up our SWORN division... They are
authorized to do everything you would expect
any police officer to do. ie: Arrests, Citations,
Traffic stops, Warrants, Court testimony... You
name it they can do it!!!
